Founded by acoustic engineers, the company sells synthetic audio data and virtual testing to voice model and robot designers.
Treble, an Icelandic company founded in 2020, announced on September 16 an $18 million Series A extension, led by Paladin Capital Group, with KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, the European Innovation Council and Omega ehf. After raising $12 million in 2024, the total now exceeds $40 million.
The company applies the physical simulation of sound propagation to AI-driven use: generating synthetic training data, evaluating models, and virtually testing prototypes of audio devices. Its target customers include voice model developers, robot manufacturers, and hardware manufacturers, including Amazon and Logitech.
The interest of the approach lies in the cost of real recording campaigns: reproducing a room, a background noise or the placement of a microphone by calculation makes it possible to cover situations that would be long and expensive to capture physically, especially for objects worn and on-board assistants.
