Salesforce Names Seven Agentforce Agents, Adds a Layer of Governance

Casey, Paige, Carter, Hunter, Marshall, Piper, and Fin: Salesforce delivers seven function-specific agents, plus a control framework for multi-vendor fleets.

A few days before Dreamforce, Salesforce presented on September 11 seven Agentforce agents each designed for a job: Casey in customer service, Paige on the IT and human resources side, Carter for sales, Hunter for outbound prospecting, Marshall on the supply chain, Piper on incoming requests and Fin on the customer experience. Most are available immediately; Hunter remains in the pilot until November.

The company is supporting the launch of a framework called the Trusted Enterprise AI Harness, which is divided into six components — context, agency, action, governance, security, and models. The stated goal is less to sell one more agent than to provide a point of control for companies that already run agents from multiple vendors in parallel.

Salesforce claims 7 billion cumulative agentic work units on Agentforce and Slack, including 3.2 billion in the second quarter alone — an in-house indicator that is difficult to compare from one provider to another.
