Google expands its series of free AI training courses for teachers

New modules in the Google AI Educator Series are aimed at primary and secondary schools, with badges earned in less than fifteen minutes and a dedicated day on September 19.

Google has introduced new modules of its Google AI Educator Series, a free training package aimed primarily at primary and secondary school teachers, with a separate component for higher education stakeholders. The additions include a module dedicated to Gemini's Guided Learning mode, another entitled AI Quest: Market Marshes, and a third on building a classroom investigation approach.

The format chosen is based on very short sessions: each badge is obtained in less than a quarter of an hour, and new modules appear on the first Wednesday of each month. The content covers the automation of administrative tasks such as information emails to parents, individual support of students via Guided Learning, creation of interactive game-type activities, and documentary search tools for students.

An online event, called Badge-a-thon, is scheduled on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern time to link these modules over a day. Google justifies this orientation with two recurrent requests from teachers: directly applicable uses in the classroom, and a collective framework for training.
