MIT trains teachers to integrate AI into multiple disciplines

A pilot program brought together 19 higher education teachers around adaptable courses and exercises, to develop critical understanding of AI.

In a report published on September 9, MIT presents its first AI Educators Pilot. Organized in July over a week, the workshop welcomed 19 participants from seven institutions. The program is based on MIT teaching on machine learning modeling.

The teachers worked on demonstrations, exercises and materials that they can adapt to their own disciplines. The aim is to transmit the technical basics and the ability to examine the limits of the systems, beyond their simple use. This first cohort is a pilot, the extension of which will depend on the follow-up given to the programme.
