Mistral raises €3 billion, the largest round of financing ever by a European tech company

Led by Samsung, the operation values the French company at more than 21 billion euros, almost double its valuation a year ago.

Mistral announced on 8 September a fund-raising of €3 billion in Series D, with a post-money value of over €21 billion — which the company presents as the most important round-table tour ever carried out by a European technology company, only three years after its launch. The operation is led by Samsung Electronics, with Scaleup Europe Fund (managed by EQT) and the historical investor PSG Equity as co-leaders; Advent, BlackRock and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg join the tour as new investors.

Mistral's valuation has nearly doubled since the EUR 11.7 billion of its September 2025 C Series, led by ASML. The funds must finance the expansion of the company's state-of-the-art research as well as its computing capacity: Mistral has already completed this year a debt relief of 830 million dollars for a data centre in Bruyères-le-Châtel (13,800 GPU Nvidia GB300), and is developing a second site in Sweden at 1.2 billion euros, with a combined target of 200 megawatts of European capacity by the end of 2027.
