Crusoe raises $3 billion at $30 billion valuation after $13 billion cloud deal with Jane Street

The operator of data centers dedicated to AI has seen its valuation triple in ten months, driven by a leading customer in the financial sector.

Crusoe, a cloud infrastructure specialist dedicated to the training and inference of AI models, has completed a $3 billion round table, valuing the company at $30 billion, co-led by Atreides Management and Valor Equity Partners, with the participation of Mubadala Capital. Just ten months earlier, Crusoe raised $1.38 billion to a $10 billion valuation: the increase illustrates the continued appetite of investors for IA computing infrastructure.

The transaction comes just after the announcement of a five-year cloud contract with Jane Street trading company, valued at about $13 billion, which is expected to provide the company with clusters of GPUs and the infrastructure necessary for its training and inference loads. As a result, Jane Street became Crusoe's most prominent customer, and the announcement of the contract clearly helped convince investors of the subsequent lifting.
