Ramp opens up to customers the model router it has been using internally for three years

The fintech is marketing Router, a single API that switches between models from eight vendors, with cost and performance tracking. Free until the end of 2026.

Ramp, a specialist in expense management, is making available under the name Router the model referral service it has been operating for its own needs for three years. The tool exposes a single API giving access to models from OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Moonshot, Minimax, Nvidia, xAI and Z.ai, with configurable routing policies and a dashboard that tracks costs and performance.

The catalog remains much narrower than that of OpenRouter, the benchmark competitor in this niche. Ramp is more of an integration card: its existing customers find inference expense tracking in the same environment as their other budget items. The service is free until the end of 2026, with inference fees remaining the responsibility of the user, with $26 in credit offered at launch and subsequent pricing not disclosed.

The move extends a trajectory of strong growth: the company raised $750 million in June 2026 on a valuation of $44 billion. Router is currently only available in the United States.
