General Intuition valued $6 billion to train robots with video game images

Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures and Seven Seven Six join the starter's round table, which has almost tripled in two months.

General Intuition closes a new round of financing on a pre-monetary valuation of $6 billion, with the entry of Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures and Seven Seven Six alongside investors already present Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst. By June 2026, the company had raised $320 million on a $2.3 billion valuation, so the increase is nearly three times in two months.

Detached from the Medal platform in October 2025 by its leader Pim de Witte, the company builds foundation models designed to navigate agents in physical and temporal environments. Its particularity lies in its training data: hundreds of millions of hours of video game images, combined with the commands actually captured by the players, which serve as action labels to learn spatial reasoning.

The funds raised must finance the extension of the model to robotic applications, the purchase of computing capacity through a partnership with CoreWeave, and recruitment.
