Anthropic reportedly targeting $2 trillion IPO in October

According to the Financial Times, Anthropic's investors are counting on an October listing valuing the lab at $2 trillion, which would make it the largest IPO ever.

Anthropic investors anticipate an introduction to the stock exchange in October on the basis of a valuation of about $2,000 billion, reports Financial Times. At this level, the transaction would exceed SpaceX's and become the largest share market in history. The sources mentioned state that nothing is stopped: the amount raised and the valuation remain under discussion and have not been formally fixed internally.

The argument put forward by these investors stems from the growth in turnover. They estimate that the annualized rate of revenues will be between $100 billion and $120 billion by the end of the year. Anthropic had already become the best-valued AI start-up in the world in May, with an H series of $65 billion bringing its post-money valuation to $965 billion.

The schedule, however, remains suspended in the regulatory process: the company sent a draft registration document to the SEC in a confidential manner in early summer, a step prior to a public deposit that could occur by the end of August.
