By 2026, nearly half of architecture professionals are already using AI tools in their projects, with a further quarter planning to do so.
According to a survey of more than 1,200 architecture professionals, 46% say they are already using artificial intelligence tools in their projects, and another 24% plan to start soon. The market for generative AI applied to architecture is estimated to be worth more than $2 billion in 2026, driven by smart city projects and sustainable building requirements.
The most mature systems now allow architects to define site goals and constraints, and then explore many viable alternatives without breaking the link with constructability, carbon footprint, regulation, or user experience.
