The Pennsylvania health network is expanding its partnership with Hippocratic AI: its agent Ana already handles more than 160,000 calls per month and is out of the appointment scheduling niche.
WellSpan Health, a health care network located in Pennsylvania and northern Maryland, announced on July 30, 2026 the transition to a partnership with Hippocratic AI. After being one of the first establishments to deploy the company's general voice agent, he now installs it on the entire platform: incoming and outgoing calls, outpatients and hospitalizations.
The volumes already reached give the measure of usage: the agent, called Ana, supports more than 160,000 patient calls per month, in the order of 7,000 hours of conversation, mainly for meeting management and questions of access to digital services. The extension adds significantly more clinical cases of use: proactive revival of patients who have missed an imaging examination, follow-up calls after discharge from hospital, regular points for chronic diseases, vocal sorting tools and accompaniment in the treatment plan via the Hippocratic AI orchestrator.
The industrial assembly deserves to be noted: Hippocratic AI has installed a permanent team of engineers, clinicians and specialists on York campus to design and correct new agents to direct contact with health care teams. WellSpan's Executive Director, Roxanna Gapstur, presented the operation as an investment to expand access and relieve rather than replace the teams.
