One year later, the A2A protocol exceeds 150 organizations and enters into production

Given to the Linux Foundation, the standard of communication between IA agents born at Google now demands integration with Google, Microsoft and AWS, and deployments in production.

The Linux Foundation takes stock of the first year of the Agent2Agent (A2A) project, an open protocol created by Google and transferred to neutral governance to describe how AI agents communicate and collaborate from one system to another. More than 150 organizations support the standard today.

The integration has been done in depth in the three major cloud platforms — Google, Microsoft and AWS — and the protocol is no longer in the demonstration stage: production deployments are recorded in the supply chain, financial services, insurance and computer operations, where it involves coordinating autonomous systems between heterogeneous tools, suppliers and environments.

The choice of a foundation as host aimed precisely at this effect: to ensure neutrality vis-à-vis publishers, to regulate intellectual property and to give the protocol a continuity that does not depend on a single actor.
