Forgotten subscriptions on Alipay, flight prices after booking, school records on DingTalk: the new version monitors and re-launches itself, without new request.
Ant Group launched version 2.0 of LingGuang, its general public IA assistant, on 27 October after a few weeks of restricted testing. The main change is a persistent memory: the assistant no longer merely responds, he follows tasks over time and returns to the user when something changes, without having to restart it.
Ant gives several concrete examples: to identify a recurring subscription paid via Alipay that has been forgotten, to follow the evolution of the price of a flight or hotel already booked, or to turn school messages published in a DingTalk group into a list of things to do.
To do this, LingGuang plugs in to Alipay, DingTalk, Feishu, Xiaomi's email and home automation platform, and can call external tools via the MCP protocol or command line.
