The update adds memory of past exchanges, an expanded context to photos, voice and Safari messages, five new languages and a central app exclusion setting.
On October 26, Apple released iOS 27.2, which significantly enhances Siri AI. The assistant can now find what it has said in previous exchanges, for example the restaurants recommended last week, and draws its context from more sources: photos, participants in calendar events, voice messages, Safari history and reading list. It is also possible to select and copy only part of a reply.
Five more languages, not for Europe
Siri AI is now available in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. However, the feature remains unavailable in the European Union and mainland China. On the privacy side, a new "Excluded Apps" setting allows you to choose in one place which apps are accessible to Siri, search and suggestions.
The update also brings suggested calendar actions and reminders in Messages, profiles for household members on Apple TV, support for sign language interpreters and captioners in FaceTime, and a SynthID watermark on AI-generated images in Photos.
