Microducts: Pollen Robotics' small open source duck robots exceed 20,000 pre-orders after Jensen Huang's demonstration

Shown by Nvidia's boss at the GTC Berlin, these robots trained in simulation work, sit down and make saltos to the voice. Delivery promised before Christmas.

During his keynote at the GTC Berlin conference, Jensen Huang played on stage with the Microducks, small duck-shaped robots that trot while emitting R2-D2 sound effects, sit down, drop down for a "nap" or do somersaults on voice command. The video went viral on October 21, 2026, and two days later, pre-orders exceeded 20,000 units, with delivery announced before Christmas.

The Microducks are designed by Pollen Robotics, the French open-source robotics start-up acquired by Hugging Face in 2025, which itself came under the control of Nvidia in September 2026. The robots were trained in simulation with Nvidia's software stack, with RTX Spark agents helping to transfer behaviors from the simulator to the real world. Their owners will be able to teach them new tricks and share them with the community.
