Google is extending "Personal Intelligence" to Android Auto, and then to cars equipped with Google integrated in the coming months. The feature is not offered in the European Economic Area.
Google began on October 20, 2026 to deploy "Personal Intelligence" in Android Auto. With this feature, the Gemini assistant can rely on the user's data — e-mails Gmail, Agenda, Google Photos, Maps, Search and YouTube — to answer questions that depend on their personal context, such as finding an address mentioned in a message or anticipating the next appointment. Vehicles with built-in Google (Google build-in) will follow in the coming months.
Voluntary activation, limited availability
The service is based on explicit consent: applications are only connected if the user activates it, and can disable it at any time in Gemini settings. Those who have already activated it in their phone's Gemini app will automatically find it in the car.
The deployment concerns personal Google accounts of major users, excluding professional or educational Workspace accounts. The European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Nigeria are currently excluded, which deprives European drivers of the function.
