On stage in Berlin alongside the Chancellor, Jensen Huang announced four investments in German start-ups as part of a European initiative worth nearly 10 billion dollars.
At a former power plant in Berlin on October 20, 2026, Jensen Huang held a public dialogue with Chancellor Friedrich Merz before announcing that Nvidia was investing in four German start-ups. The amounts and size of the stakes were not disclosed. The chancellor urged manufacturers to let AI exploit their data, while Nvidia's boss assured that the technology would strengthen the know-how of German engineers rather than replace it.
Robots, hospitals, sound and satellites
The four chosen cover a variety of fields: Agile Robots (Munich), founded in 2018 by former DLR researchers, designs robotic arms and the humanoid Agile ONE and has already raised more than $270 million; Avelios Medical (Munich) is developing a hospital information system designed around AI; Mirelo (Berlin) trains models that generate sound effects, voice and music for video; Reflex Aerospace (Munich) manufactures satellites.
These operations are part of a nearly $10 billion commitment to European companies, universities and research institutes. Nvidia has also signed a joint declaration of intent with the federal government to advance "physical AI", the one that drives machines and robots in the real world.
