Pudu is no longer in service: a semi-humanoid with 23 joints and a wheel-legged quadruped showcased at IFA

Known for its robot waiters, the Chinese company Pudu showcased the D7 in Berlin – a semi-humanoid capable of lifting 20 kg – and the D5-W, a quadruped capable of rolling or walking.

Pudu Robotics, which Frost & Sullivan ranked in 2025 as the world's leading manufacturer of commercial service robots in both turnover and volume, took advantage of its first participation in the Berlin IFA to expand its range far beyond restaurant delivery. The company claims more than 130,000 robots in service in over 85 countries, including the BellaBot and its cat head.

Handling and rugged terrain

The D7, presented for the first time in Europe, is a semi-humanoid whose 23 joints are concentrated in the arms, waist and head; It can carry up to 20 kg and aims at industrial handling tasks. The D5-W is a quadruped that swings between wheel and foot movements, carries 30 kg, climbs stairs and rises alone after a fall. Pudu also showed the CC1 Pro, a cleaning robot that controls its own work and returns to poorly treated areas. No prices or dates of availability have been communicated.
