Rather than requiring employees to open Workday, the software provider integrates its HR and finance agent engine into the assistants they already use, applying each company’s specific rules.
At its Workday Rising conference on October 13, 2026, Workday announced that Sana, its agent orchestration engine, will run directly in Claude (via Cowork), Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Teams and Slack. The employee formulates his request in plain language; Sana verifies the rights, validation circuits and internal policies before mobilizing the agents concerned.
The publisher insists on this filtering role: third-party tools do not freely access HR or financial data, it is Sana that executes in accordance with the company's rules and keeps track of actions. A single connection is enough to make all agents available, whether they are designed by Workday, by the customer or by a partner. Among the examples cited: preparing an expense report for validation from Claude, or simulating a workforce plan in Copilot and then saving it in Workday.
Calendar
Self-service features are already available in Gemini Enterprise, Copilot, Teams, and Slack, with full deployment planned by the end of 2026. Integration with Claude Cowork starts in Early Access.
