xAI has deployed the voice mode of its Grok assistant on Apple CarPlay, joining ChatGPT and Perplexity already available on this in-car platform. The integration allows drivers to interact with Grok directly from their vehicle's screen without going through their phone.
Unlike the deep integration that Grok enjoys in Tesla vehicles, which is able to directly act on functions such as air conditioning or navigation, the CarPlay version remains more limited: it cannot control the vehicle's systems and requires a manual launch of the application rather than a simple voice activation word.
