Nvidia has taken a stake in four French start-ups, including Doctolib and Genesis AI, and its investment portfolio now exceeds $51 billion

Doctolib, Genesis AI, Pigment and Entalpic have welcomed Nvidia as a minority shareholder, although the amount has not been disclosed. Jensen Huang has pledged a further $2 billion in investment in Europe.

Nvidia announced on October 13, 2026 that it was acquiring minority stakes in four French start-ups: the health platform Doctolib, the robotics developer Genesis AI, the financial planning software publisher Pigment and Entalpic, which specializes in the discovery of materials using AI. No amount was disclosed. Doctolib indicates that the agreement is for the development of AI tools, while Genesis AI presents Nvidia as a strategic investor.

A portfolio multiplied by thirteen in one year

These operations are part of an increasingly massive investment strategy: Nvidia's long-term holdings have increased from $3.8 billion in July 2025 to $51.16 billion in July 2026. Compared to the approximately $127 billion in free cash flow generated over four quarters, however, they remain modest. Jensen Huang also announced $2 billion in new investments in Europe for the following week.

There are two opposing interpretations: for optimists, Nvidia is creating future demand for its chips in regions that are still lagging behind in the adoption of AI; for skeptics, tying its sales to start-ups it finances exposes the group to a reversal in valuations.
