ChatGPT Health is now available to all US users

OpenAI is rolling out its health assistant to all US subscribers, with weekly health-related queries having risen from 230 million to 300 million since January.

OpenAI has opened ChatGPT Health to all its major American users, regardless of their subscription level (free, Go, Plus or Pro). This feature allows you to connect personal health data — via Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, Epic files or One Medical accounts — to obtain contextualized responses to your own medical analysis or report results, without aiming to make a diagnosis or prescribe treatment.

OpenAI states that the volume of health-related requests has increased from 230 million to 300 million per week since January, and that 70% of these exchanges take place outside the dedicated health space — which, according to the company, warrants direct integration into general conversations. This deployment comes at a time when functionality is already being challenged, including a complaint filed by a Florida pastor who believes he has received dangerous medical advice.
