AI providers in the spotlight

The National Medal of Technology and Innovation went to Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, and Michael Dell, founder of Dell. The choice of the winners, almost all of whom are heads of companies that supply chips, servers or AI models, illustrates the place that the administration gives to the sector in its science policy.

The director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Michael Kratsios, spoke at the event, which was attended by many administration officials and scientists.
