Customers of the US Army and the US Air Force, Gallatin is closing a $50 million Series A to strengthen Navigator's AI, which forecasts supply disruptions to units.
Gallatin AI, a start-up based in El Segundo (California), has announced a $50 million Series A round, with 8VC and Silent Ventures in the round. It had raised $15 million in seed funding in 2024. Its product, Navigator, is used to manage the US military's supply chain: the US Army and the US Air Force are already using it, and the Pentagon's civilian logistics providers can access it.
Predict shortages before they block a mission
Today, knowing what to send and where means sifting through endless inventories, one-off requests made through internal messaging and sometimes on-board sensor readings, such as a vehicle's fuel level. Navigator brings this scattered data together in a common format, renders it into dashboards, maps and graphs, and lists for each team the equipment it needs to support — fuel, anti-corrosion products or aircraft spare parts, for example.
The core of the system is predictive: based on stocks and past consumption, it estimates when a supply will be exhausted and revises its calculations as soon as an unexpected peak occurs. It also points out weaknesses in a replenishment plan and writes some of the administrative documents. The funds will be used to recruit engineers to expand these AI capabilities.
