OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 across ChatGPT: the model can now respond via an interactive interface (diagrams, calculators, mini-games) rather than text alone.
OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 in the Chat tab of ChatGPT on October 7, first for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise subscribers, then from October 8 for Free and Go plans. The first GPT-6 models were previously only available to paying customers, since September.
Manipulative answers
The new feature is called Intelligent UI: the model has been trained to choose the form of its own response, mixing text, visuals and interactive elements. A comparison can be displayed in columns, a technical explanation in the form of a clickable diagram (OpenAI shows the breakdown of a bicycle into five subsystems), and a meal plan can integrate a quantity calculator that adjusts to the number of guests. The user can also explicitly request a tool, such as a savings simulator or a bill split. Simple text remains the default answer when it is sufficient.
Technically, OpenAI relies on a library of native components and a compiler that displays the interface as it is generated, without waiting for the response to complete. The company is thus targeting the approximately 1.2 billion people who use ChatGPT every week.
