Anthropic is offering start-ups one year’s access to Claude Team and $1,000 worth of API credits

The Claude for Startups programme, which was expanded during SF Tech Week, is aimed at companies that are less than five years old or have received funding within the last two years.

Anthropic took advantage of SF Tech Week on October 6 to expand its Claude for Startups program. Selected start-ups get a free year of Claude Team, the paid collaborative work offer, with up to five premium seats, as well as $1,000 in credits to develop on Claude's API.

Who can benefit from it

The program is open to companies created in the last five years or that have raised funds in the last two years. It also gives access to the Claude Marketplace to publish extensions, and to online sessions with Anthropic's Applied AI team. Applications are submitted on the program page, claude.com/programs/startups.

Anthropic justifies the initiative by its conviction that the benefits of AI will mainly reach the public through companies that build products on top of the models, more than through the models themselves. It is also a way of retaining future major API customers at an early stage.
