The start-up, which does not manufacture any robots, has seen its valuation increase fivefold in just over a year and has exceeded $135 million in revenue and contracts with more than 30 clients.
FieldAI has signed a letter of intent for a $700 million round of funding that would value it at $10 billion, compared to about $2 billion a little over a year ago. Founded in 2023, the company develops only software: a foundation model presented as a generalist brain capable of piloting humanoids as well as quadruped robots, drones or autonomous construction machinery.
Already substantial revenues
FieldAI says it has added at least $35 million in revenue and contracts since June, for a total of more than $135 million across some 30 customers in construction, data centers, and defense. Its backers include NVentures, Nvidia's investment arm, Intel Capital, Bezos Expeditions, Gates Frontier, Samsung, and Khosla Ventures.
This valuation puts FieldAI at the level of Physical Intelligence (around 11 billion) and not far from Skild AI (14 billion), its two main competitors in the robotics software layer. In Europe, the closest rival, Genesis AI, is valued at around 3 billion.
