The platform's code shows a console for creating agents with environments, skills and plugins, a few hours before the developer conference in San Francisco.
OpenAI is holding its DevDay on September 29 at Fort Mason in San Francisco. Even before the keynote, strings left in the platform's code draw the content of the announcements: a console that allows you to create several separate agents, assign them runtimes, activate specific skills and plug in plugins. The environments can be hosted by the customer itself, via a plugin intended for developers.
The timing speaks for itself. The "managed agents" would therefore take the place of a device that the company is abandoning, on a field where Anthropic is already installed with an offer of the same name.
Another avenue spotted in the code: a direct connection between the advertising displayed in ChatGPT and agents, with the user landing on a conversion agent rather than on a classic ad.
