Meta opens an enterprise division and entrusts Muse, its API and its code agent to the former head of MongoDB

The group brings together its models, its Muse assistant and its sales agents in an offer for companies, led by Chirantan Desai, recruited at MongoDB.

On September 28, Meta presented a new branch called the Meta Enterprise Platform, responsible for selling to companies what the group had been developing until now for the general public. The offer brings together four already known bricks: the personal assistant Muse, the Meta Business Agent which takes care of exchanges with customers, a Muse API open to developers, and Muse Code, the in-house programming agent.

The management of this activity falls to Chirantan "CJ" Desai, who has been appointed chief enterprise platform officer. He arrives from MongoDB, where he was chairman and CEO, after stints at Cloudflare and ServiceNow. Mark Zuckerberg presents this division as "the next big pillar" of the group's business and highlights four assets that he considers rare in the same player: advanced models, successful agents, a very large-scale infrastructure and a long experience of working with companies.

The timing is not insignificant: Muse, launched a few weeks earlier in September, has exceeded 2.5 million downloads and taken the lead in the App Store's free ranking, ahead of Claude and Grok on comparable launch windows. On the messaging side, Meta already claimed more than a million companies using its sales agent on WhatsApp and Messenger in June.
